Synchronicity &
the Art of Listening

Jacob Cooke-Tilley · Casa Alegria, Canaan

"

My relationship with synchronicity has grown over the years as I engage deeper with it. At the beginning I couldn't discern what were rogue thoughts and senses, to what were points of clarity from my team. My travels elevated this to a whole new perspective.

Hello and welcome. Get yourself comfortable and source this site when you feel aligned to the consciousness that I bring. It has been a delayed occasion to starting my writing — and with good reason.

Just recently did I get the opportunity to witness Zoe Wind, Astrologer and Astrologist, talk about an idea of moving away from 'being saved' by something greater — and further, an idea of moving toward community and tribes. What this meant for me was a true understanding that who I am right now is exactly what is able to serve the community and share.

In this year of the Horse, year of 1, year of the stag, and many other prophetic times — it is important to share, teach, and be in communion with others. After an excellent Envision festival I came to the remembrance of what I can truly offer from the way I live my own life.

Please don't feel contained to one post or chronological order. How we begin will not be how it will always continue.

I thoroughly enjoy change and with deep listening, can I navigate the rapids of these times.

Today I write to you from Casa Alegria, the Butterfly Dome, in Canaan. The land is beautiful and inside the dome is true harmquillity — tranquility multiplied by harmony. Often I have found that I am in a void-like state with a mind that is eager to 'do' something meaningful. And yet when I notice, prioritise self care, and check in — things do actually flow.

Noticing

"I notice my mind pinging thoughts." "I notice my breath." "I notice the river torrents." Each time I practise the art of "I notice..." — the thing lessens in intensity and allows me to hear, feel, see more.

Self Care

The usual — water, breathing, readjusting in my seat, looking out at nature. My first go-to is giving my feet a squeeze with my hand to get the chi moving, then onto my calves or thighs. It can be anything that gives to you — and taking yourself to it feasibly.

When I'm stuck and slightly dissociated I use the statement "What would nourish me right now?" or "What does my inner child need?" The importance behind this is that when I give to myself, it gives others the chance to give to themselves too.

Checking In

This artform is the true humility of it all — as the ego has to let go of knowing what to do next. For me, I find placing my hand on either my heart or belly, waiting to feel the warmth and maybe even the heartbeat, to know I'm truly connected. Then asking: "What do I need in this now?"

The way it communicates changes day to day. It's all me — and it's very creative in how it likes to express. Sometimes it shows me a picture of a cup of water. Other times it shows my inner child jumping and being silly — often meaning I need to move my body. Other times it shows me a line of energy going through my body to a particular part of myself that needs attention, like my knee or gut.

Whatever this intuitive part of you is — it can see things from much higher than we can. Like a hawk over a path with many routes.

These are some simple ways, but I know from working with many people that the options are endless. Some people get symbols and animals. Others get clear words and sounds. Another way I sometimes receive is through a high-pitch ringing in either my left or right ear — which for me can indicate different things depending on where I am when I check in.

The point is to listen and follow.

"I am happy to share what I do, and how I live — for this is how I'd like the world to vibrate."

As simply as people following their truth — and until that time where everyone completely trusts themselves, then I will do what I am here to do.
