I nearly skipped the toothpaste this morning. Just in a rush, hand already on the brush, and I thought: do I actually need it? It's technically the brushing that does the work, right? The physical removal of whatever has built up.
And then I thought about it for a second. The brushing is the act. The toothpaste is the layer you add to make what you have last longer. To protect what is already there.
Same thing.
The clearing practice is the brushing. Moving through a white light waterfall, releasing what accumulated overnight, what you picked up at the party, what drifted in from the space. Active removal. You already know how to do that.
The protection layer is the toothpaste. Something you put over your field after the clearing, to help what you have built hold. A simple intention, a sealing, a statement that what is yours stays yours and what is coming in is welcome or unwelcome on your terms. Sitting on top of the clearing, making it last longer.
And here is the thing. We were all taught to brush our teeth. Starting young, twice a day, every day, without much explanation about why beyond: it matters, do it.
Nobody taught us the energetic equivalent. Somewhere along the way that instruction got lost, or was only held in traditions that required initiation to access. In older times people carried it more naturally because the field around them was more actively contested. Now the earth is in a more harmonious frequency overall, and that particular urgency has softened. But the practice is still useful. The protection layer still does something real.
Two minutes. After your energetic hygiene practice, or after your morning clear, just add the layer. Seal it. Intend it. That is the whole thing.
Have an excellent day.
